Why Building a Website Feels Like Watching Paint Dry (But Slower)

Starting a website from scratch sounds exciting… until I’m going cross-eyed staring at settings, checkout glitches, photo uploads, and wondering why a button refuses to behave like a freaking website button should.

A huge shoutout to the very patient customer who stuck with me for five days while I kept saying, “I swear it’s fixed this time…” 😅 …and also, “Let me fix this real quick…” (it was never real quick).

Just like everyday adulting, time somehow disappears while I’m tweaking things no one will ever notice—shipping settings, payment options, image sizes, “why is this not lining up?!”—and suddenly I realize I haven’t created a single new thing.

Which, honestly, is the worst part. 😧 Because I want to be designing, sewing, creating the pieces that actually make each day fun.

And yet… here I am. Working through the kinks. One tiny setting at a time.

At the moment, I’m questioning my life choices and resisting the urge to go watch paint dry instead. (I’m pretty sure the paint would be dry by now, by the way.)

With love (and five failed checkouts later),
